Ronke Jegede is an AI Governance Architect and Fractional Chief AI Officer, and the Founder of Cardinal AI Systems — a UK-registered AI governance company serving regulated professional services firms across the UK and Nigeria.
She began her career inside corporate governance, qualifying as a chartered governance professional in 1994 and spent over two decades in the governance functions. She then moved into digital reputation and online visibility, authoring four books on how organisations are seen, judged and held accountable in digital systems. That same question now drives her work in AI governance, where she helps law firms, accountancy practices, healthcare providers, and financial services firms account for algorithmic decisions to regulators, clients, and boards.
She holds an LLB in Law, a certificate in AI Governance from the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, and is certified in ISO 42001, ISO 23894, and the EU AI Act through BSI. She completed leadership training at Harvard Business School and has built and deployed over 40 live AI platforms across government, financial services, healthcare, and legal sectors. Her AI governance intelligence briefings are published through SovereignBrief.
She is based in London. She knows how regulators think because she spent a career inside that world.
